How much junk do you have in your kitchen?

You can buy all sorts of weird and wonderful gadgets now to save you time with almost anything you do round the house, but the kitchen has to be the place which has the most gadgets available for it. You can get hand blenders and automatic whisking machines, muffin makers, waffle makers, toasters which can also poach an egg, a device to give your food a smoky taste… and so many more. Do we need any of them though?
If we’re honest with ourselves then we know that these gadgets are usually overpriced, they are really hard to clean after use, and they will be stuffed into the cupboard after just a few uses. The next time you are eyeing up some expensive gadget in a shop then you need to walk away and have a think about whether it is actually useful or just a gimmick, and if you will actually use it much. So a replacement toaster which also poaches an egg is probably a gimmick you won’t use, but a replacement toaster which can toast even faster and allows you easy access to get the toast out, that would be great if you eat a lot of toast. Something I think is really handy is a Masterbuilt electric turkey fryer (only if you cook a lot of turkeys though) because it stops you struggling to fit everything else in the oven around it like the sweet potatoes etc, which is a huge problem.
So there are gadgets out there that can make your life a lot easier, one of the easiest ways to find them is to ask your friends what gadgets they have and which they actually use on a regular basis, that saves you wasting money on the gimmicks as they already have!
